catimage00051Echocardiography for pets is very similar to Echocardiography in humans. This procedure allows veterinarians to get a good picture of the valve function of the heart, and is often a second test after an Electrocardigram (ECG).

If any cardiac abnormalities are noted during the ECG, we may recommend an Echocardiogram, or an ultrasound of the heart, in order to visualize the heart chambers and muscles to make a diagnosis.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the health of your pet’s heart, please don’t hesitate to contact us today. We would be happy to give you more information.
